Paula & Quelle

First exploration with someone who became a friend. We’ve met for this one, a guy into beer and industry, so it matched easily. My adrenaline buddy came along too.

Back when we went there it had a very bad reputation and was kinda forgotten. Lots of people caught, security measures. What surprised me was how easy it was to get in.

Inside, Paula and Quelle were still sitting in their green casings, one behind the others, daylight coming flat through the windows. The place was still as it was before the closure.

A cold winter day. We took a lot of stairs in the dark up to the boiler roof, and from up there we could enjoy the whole site and the neighbouring giants.

Some good memories drinking beer on that roof. We never went back, and the site has been demolished, so Paula and Quelle live on here.
